Welcome to Shore Vintage, where timeless style meets coastal allure. Founded by Abigail and Ryan, Shore Vintage is the culmination of a journey that began with a love for vintage items and a desire for a slower pace of life.

Abigail's early fascination with vintage clothing evolved into a full-fledged passion, which she officially brought online in 2020, offering her carefully curated collection to a wider audience. Moving to Block Island that same year, she found not just a job but a home. Abigail found her place in the community, thanks in part to the incredible opportunities presented by Blvck Market. Working as a stylist and sales associate, she fully immersed herself in the fast-paced world of fashion while cherishing the island's serene beauty.

In 2022, Abigail crossed paths with Ryan, a fellow collector of vintage treasures who shared her vision of a slower, more intentional lifestyle. Together, they dreamed of creating something meaningful—a place where vintage enthusiasts could connect with timeless pieces and embrace the beauty of a simpler life.

Ryan's suggestion to start a vintage store on the island initially seemed crazy to Abigail. But as their shared passion grew, so did the idea. With the launch of the website and plans for a brick-and-mortar location in the spring, they invite you to join them on this journey. Whether you're searching for the perfect vintage find or simply seeking inspiration, Shore Vintage welcomes you with open arms.

Thank you for being a part of our story. Big things are ahead, and we're grateful to have you along for the ride.

Happy Shopping!

SHORE VINTAGE

Who is rebecca?

In the tapestry of Abigail’s life on Block Island, there's a thread woven by the remarkable Ruth E. Mahoney—a beacon of strength, wisdom and sense of style in our tight-knit community. Ruth wasn't just a friend; she was a pillar, a guiding light that illuminated Abigail’s path toward sobriety.

Her unwavering support kickstarted Abigail’s journey toward a healthier, more fulfilling life. Through her encouragement and compassion, Abigail found the courage to confront her struggles and embrace a sober lifestyle. Ruth's influence extended far beyond mere words; it was her steadfast presence and genuine care that made all the difference.

As a tribute to her profound impact on her life, Abigail chose “Rebecca” as the emblem for Shore Vintage. Rebecca, a statue that was put in place by the Woman’s Christian Temperance Movement in 1896 in hopes to curb alcohol consumption. She symbolizes not only sobriety but also resilience and hope. Just as Rebecca watches over our island with unwavering grace, so does Ruth.

In every aspect of Shore Vintage, from its ethos to its logo, Ruth's spirit is interwoven, a testament to the power of friendship and the transformative journey toward healing. It's a reminder that even in the face of adversity, there is always light to guide us home.
